International Housing and Home Warranty Conference 2011
The 12th International Housing & Home Warranty Conference brings together warranty organisations, home builders and housing professionals from across the world, providing an opportunity to discuss challenges in the international market for the provision of new homes and share best practice on addressing them.
The brief was to provide an informal, yet elegant evening to 350 delegates of the IHHWC 2011 Conference. The result? A fusion of Cape Town Cultures and Food, completed by spectacular sweeping views of the Stellenbosch area from Ernie Els Wine Estate. On Monday, 26 September 2011, guests arrived to the Estate just in time to watch a beautiful sunset from the first terrace, whilst roaming waiters ensured glasses are filled with the best wines Ernie Els has on offer. A Banjo band provided background music, setting the scene for an evening of various tastes. Next to the bedouin a night market consisting out of various African traders provided the unexpected opportunity to buy local handmade gifts and keepsakes.
Inside the bedouin, guests were greeted by various styles of seating, divided between the District Six, Safari and Cape Dutch Cultures. District Six - a colourful and bright display of various textures complimented by the smell of Spices. Cape Dutch – a play on the more elegant look and feel of blue & white, and lastly Safari – from Leather Director’s Chairs, to a Shwe Shwe Daybed and Protea Scatter cushions. After speeches, a Minstrel Troop officially welcomed guests to Cape Town. Thereafter the live cooking stations were opened and guests could choose from Snoek, to calamari, steak and chops! Waiters were roaming with a selection of canapés and the dessert buffet was loaded with delicacies. Ernie Els Wines also provided an opportunity for guests to taste and buy their unique selection of wines.
Guests spend the rest of the evening mingling & networking before departing back to Cape Town.
